HONOLULU – Individual-game tickets for the 2012-13 University of Hawai'i men's and women's basketball seasons are on sale now. Fans can purchase tickets online, at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office, Rainbowtique Ward Centre or by calling 944-2697 (BOWS).

The Stan Sheriff Center box office and the phone sales lines are open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed on holidays).

The men's team hosts 20 home games, beginning with an exhibition against Hawai'i Pacific on Nov. 2. That game will be general admission—along with one other men's contest—UH's meeting against Houston Baptist (Nov. 12), which will be part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-off Marathon at 11:00 p.m.

The team officially opens the 2012-13 regular-season against Maryland-Eastern Shore in the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Rainbow Classic, Nov. 9. Hawai`i will also play host to the fourth annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22, 23 and 25, an ESPN BracketBuster game on Feb. 23 and nine league games as part of its debut season in the Big West Conference.

Four returning letterwinners, three returning redshirts and eight newcomers make up this year's Rainbow Warriors squad under the direction of third-year head coach Gib Arnold. Among the returnees is senior center Vander Joaquim, a preseason first-team all-Big West selection.

Meanwhile, the Rainbow Wahine will host 21 home games this year. A total of 12 teams that advanced to post-season play are on this year's slate, including defending national champion Baylor. The 2012-13 season also marks UH's return to the Big West Conference, where the Rainbow Wahine competed for a dozen years before joining the Western Athletic Conference.

The Rainbow Wahine are led by first-year head coach Laura Beeman, who welcomes back six players from last season, including all-league selection Kamilah (Jackson) Martin. Six newcomers and two redshirts are also on the roster.

UH Manoa students receive free admission to all regular-season men's and women's home games, with the exception of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. A valid UH Manoa student identification card is required.

In addition, there will be three doubleheaders involving the men's and women's basketball squads (Nov. 16, Dec. 29 and Mar. 2) and one doubleheader with women's basketball and women's volleyball (Nov. 23). Fans will be admitted free to the preceding women's basketball game if they hold a men's basketball ticket or women's volleyball ticket on those respective dates.

Special upper level ticket rates will be also be available on doubleheader days from two hours prior to the start of the women's basketball game until halftime of the women's game.
