Women’s Volleyball Jumps To No. 6 In AVCA Poll

Top 25 Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. – In the latest AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll, the University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team (24-1) moved up two spots to No. 6. The rankings were based on matches played through Sunday, Nov. 6.

The Rainbow Wahine moved up despite not playing any matches this week. Losses by previously ranked No. 5 Illinois and No. 7 Penn State allowed Hawai'i to jump to No. 6 despite being idle. Illinois and Penn State both dropped two spots.

UCLA maintained its No. 1 ranking after jumping five spots last week to grab the top spot. Of UH's opponents, Pepperdine maintained its No. 14 ranking.

The 'Bows host their final WAC regular season matches this weekend. They take on Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Nov. 10 and New Mexico State Saturday, Nov. 12. Saturday's match will be Senior Night as UH will bid aloha to seniors Kanani Danielson, Chanteal Satele, and Alex Griffiths.
