A ‘o a Koa Scholarship Dinner To Benefit Warrior Volleyball

Scholarship Dinner Letter

HONOLULU – The inaugural A 'o a Koa Scholarship Dinner will be held on Friday, Jan. 7 at the Honolulu Country Club, and will benefit the University of Hawai'i men's volleyball program.

The event will feature a silent auction with sports memorabilia, travel, golf, hotel and event ticket packages, dinner certificates and much more. Head coach Charlie Wade and his staff, including associate coach Dan Fisher, assistant coach Jeff Hall, and student assistant and Olympian Robyn Ah Mow-Santos, will be present as well as former Warrior volleyball players.

Proceeds of the event will be used to defray costs associated with the UH Warrior Volleyball Youth Summer Camps, thereby making it affordable and possible for local youths to attend at no cost. Proceeds will also be used to help fund the summer school scholarships for current UH volleyball scholarship student-athletes.

“We are excited to be working with Al Chee to put on this event,” Wade said. “It is designed to create opportunities for kids in the community to attend our summer camps, while providing a way for those interested in supporting Warrior Volleyball to meet our team, coaches and alumni.”

Three different levels are available as well as individual tickets.

The Pae Koa or “Warrior Level” is $3,000 and includes a table for 10 with the opportunity to host Wade or a UH assistant, commemorative polo shirts, official volleyball signed by the team, mini-volleyballs, VIP pre-dinner reception, and 10 tuition waivers to the UH Men's Volleyball Summer Camp.
