Soccer Opens WAC Play Hosting San Jose State And Fresno State

Match Notes

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine soccer team (4-6-1) opens Western Athletic Conference play this week, hosting San Jose State on Friday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m., and Fresno State on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m., at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
 
UH is coming off a great week, posting two shutouts over Detroit-Mercy in the OHANA Hotels and Resorts Shootout. Senior forward Britta Bourne led the charge for the Rainbow Wahine, posting five points (two goals and an assist) to earn WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
 
Following the two conference matches, Hawai'i will have a week off from intercollegiate competition. UH will play their alumnae game on Friday, Oct. 9, before heading on their first WAC road trip.
 
Television Coverage
KFVE (Channel 5) will cover the Sunday match vs. Fresno State live with John Fink (play-by-play) and Jessica Domingo (color commentary).
