For the second straight year, the University of Hawai`i men's basketball team will participate in ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. UH's Rainbow Classic match-up against Northern Colorado on Nov. 16 will be broadcast live on ESPN at 11:00 p.m. HT.

ESPN's second annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon—consecutive live college basketball games to celebrate the start of the season—will be highlighted by 12 live games in 24 consecutive hours on ESPN on Tuesday, Nov. 17. UH's game will be the third game in a tripleheader to kick off the event. It will begin at midnight ET on Nov. 17 with Cal State Fullerton at UCLA, followed by San Diego State at St. Mary's(2 a.m. ET) and Northern Colorado at Hawai`i (4 a.m. ET). Coverage will conclude with Memphis versus Kansas at 10 p.m. ET.

ESPN's coverage will include a game from five different United States time zones—Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific and Hawai'i, and from 14 states, plus the District of Columbia. A minimum of 20 conferences will be represented.

The Rainbow Warriors had the same late-night affair last year, pulling off a dramatic overtime win over versus Idaho State. It was UH's first nationally televised home game in four years.

The Rainbow Warriors now have at least two nationally-televised games this season, with the possibility of a nearly half dozen more appearances throughout the year. UH's Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic opener versus the College of Charleston will be on ESPNU, while the Rainbow Warriors, could also have additional games telecast during the Diamond Head Classic, the ESPNU BracketBusters event and the 2010 Western Athletic Conference Tournament.
