Rainbow Relays Signals Start Of Outdoor Track Season

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i track and field team begins the outdoor season by hosting the Rainbow Relays this weekend at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field. The competition is the fourth of six all-comer meets of the Sunset Series.
 
Entry fees are $2.00 per event.
 
On Friday, competition begins at 3:00 p.m. with the throwing events while on Saturday, field events commence at 2:00 p.m. followed by the track events at 4:00 p.m. All events will be held at the T.C. Ching Field and the adjacent grass practice field.
 
The Rainbow Wahine will host six all-comer Sunset Series meets throughout the indoor and outdoor track seasons. The Rainbow Relays is the first competition during the outdoor season. The Sunset Series is designed to prepare the Rainbow Wahine for their mainland meets and also provide local high school and open athletes a forum for competition.
 
All athletes interested in competing must contact the UH track office for more information about the meet. Results will be posted on HawaiiAthletics.com by Monday afternoon.

Time: Friday's events begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday's field events begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by track events at 4:00 p.m.
