Day 2 Results
HOUSTON – The University of Hawai`i men's swimming and diving team remains in second place following the second day of events Thursday at the CRWC Natatorium during the Conference USA Championships in Houston, Texas.
UH had several solid performances across the board and continued to pile up the points with depth in all events.
Three Rainbow Warriors placed in the top eight of the 50-yard freestyle final, including a third place finish by Horativ Anastasescu who finished in a time of 20.28.
Davis Kane finished fifth in 20.31 and
Sean Reilly finished sixth in 20.35.
In the 500-yard freestyle final,
Andrew Muller had UH's best finish in fifth place with a time of 4:33.16.
Kalen Darling added an eighth place finish in a time of 4:35.09.
Three UH swimmers finished in the top eight in the 200-yard individual medley final.
Nicola Xella finished fourth in 1:51.15,
John Ariens placed sixth in 1:51.35 and
Lazar Bogdanovski finished eighth in 1:53.28.
The championships continue on Friday with seven final events scheduled. Through six events UH currently sits in second place behind SMU.
