CALGARY – University of Hawai`i junior diver Emma Friesen finished in fourth on the 1-meter and fifth on the 3-meter at the Canadian Winter Senior National Championships over the weekend in Calgary.

On the 3-meter, Friesen finished fifth and was named to the Canadian National Diving Team following her two performances.

“Emma had some excellent results having placed first and second in the preliminary contests against Canada's best divers,” UH diving coach Mike Brown said. “Hopefully it will be a good learning experience as she prepares for the WAC Championships and the NCAA qualifying meet.”
