HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i head women's water polo coach Michel Roy announced the signing of Kelly McKee to a national letter of intent for the 2011 season.
McKee is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and will join the Rainbow Wahine as a freshman for next season.
“Kelly is an outstanding person and player and we can't wait to have her join our program,” Roy said. “She has tremendous ability and lots of playing experience.”
McKee competed in the eighth FINA Junior Women's World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia last summer, and was part of the team that won Canada's first ever gold medal at the UANA/ASUA Junior Pan-American Women's Championships in Sao Paolo, Brazil in 2008
The 5-foot-8 McKee also has won two Canadian National Club Championship medals with the Calgary Renegades.
