HONOLULU – Around a dozen members of the University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team helped with UH-Manoa's Career Development and Student Employment and Campus Center Board's Fall 2009 Career Fair, Tuesday, Oct. 20 at the Campus Center Ballroom.

 

The community service project involved setting up tables and chairs for the various booth stations. The players worked in shifts from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. around their class schedules.

 

The fair attracted hundreds of interested UH alumni and graduating students seeking employment opportunities. Alumni and graduating students networked with employers, learned about Cooperative Education and Internship opportunities, and gained information on career-life planning.

 

New head coach Charlie Wade and his staff, have made it a point to reach out to the community by assisting with these various service projects.
