HONOLULU – In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team will be wearing pink uniforms and playing with a pink ball during Friday's match against BYU-Hawai'i at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Wahine face BYU-Hawai'i Friday night at 7 p.m., following the annual alumnae match, which begins at 5 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to support “Dig Pink” by wearing pink or a pink ribbon to the match.
The American Cancer Society will have an information booth located on the concourse near Gate A and donation stands will also be located by Gate A. All donations will go to the American Cancer Society.
The UH Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be providing help at the donation stations and joining a representative for the American Cancer Society with support on this very special night.
“Dig Pink” received helped from Asics, which donated the pink uniforms to UH and Spalding supplied the pink game balls.
