HONOLULU – The University of Hawai`i men's and women's diving teams won three events during the Rainbow Diving Invitational hosted by UH at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Center.
On the opening day, Cohen won the platform final with a score of 330.95. Freshman
Thomas Rugg finished fourth with a score of 261.70. In the women's platform final, freshman
Daniella Nero finished third with a score of 203.85.
The conclusion of the invitational saw Friesen win the 1-meter with a score of 300.55. Nero finished second with a score of 266.70. In the 3-meter final, Nero finished second with a score of 286.25 and Friesen finished third with a score of 286.25.
In the men's 1-meter, Cohen placed second with a score of 315.50, Rugg finished fifth with a score of 235.15 and
James Keawe finished seventh with a score of 192.85.
Cohen won the 3-meter final with a score of 301.75 and Rugg finished third with a score of 264.50. Keawe placed seventh with a score of 205.00.
UH returns to the pool Feb. 12 when they compete in the Canadian Winter Nationals.
