Former UH Standout Matt Lojeski Playing in NBA Summer League

Former University of Hawai`i men's basketball standout Matt Lojeski has been invited to join the Milwaukee Bucks NBA Summer League team. Lojeski joined the Bucks in Las Vegas and participated in the team's first summer league game.

Lojeski, who spent the past year playing in Belgium, arrived in Las Vegas the night before the Bucks' first game against Memphis on July 12, being held at the Cox Arena on the Campus of UNLV.

In 12 minutes of action, Lojeski scored seven points, going 2-for-3 from 3-point range and knocking down a free throw. Lojeski is teamed with former Nevada guard Ramon Sessions on the Bucks summer league squad and first round pick Joe Alexander. New head coach Scott Skiles is also coaching the Bucks' summer league team.

Milwaukee is scheduled to play Tuesday, July 15 against Detroit and will also play three more games during the week, totaling five summer league games. Last summer, Lojeski played for the Utah Jazz summer league team.

This past season in Belgium, Lojeski led his team in scoring, averaging 15 points per game and added five rebounds per game.
