FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The University of Hawai`i men's and women's swimming teams competed in the 60^th annual Husky Invitational over the weekend in Federal Way, Wash. with both teams finishing in fifth in the overall standings of the 12-team event.

 

The three-day event opened with individual races and finished on the final day with relay events.

 

On the opening day, both the men and women opened with the 200-yard freestyle relay and both teams finished in fifth, setting the tone of the weekend.

 

The women's team included Elliko Heimbach, Maura Barrett, Victoria Tan and Karli Rice. The men's team included Ilia Reyes, Vlad Anastasescu, Sean Reilly and Davis Kane.

 

Both swimming teams return to action Jan. 6 when they host Boise State at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. The teams will also host Wisconsin on Jan. 9-10.
