HONOLULU – The UH Letterwinners Club hosted a pre-graduation breakfast for the 38 student-athletes who participated in the Mid-Year Commencement Exercises on Saturday. Families and friends of the graduates were invited to the LWC Clubhouse for a continental breakfast prior to the ceremony.

 

Each student-athlete received a stole featuring the “H” logo to wear over their gown courtesy of the LWC. The white shawl identifies each student-athlete among the hundreds of graduates.

 

Head football coach Greg McMackin, who skipped practice that morning to participate in the ceremony, joined the graduates and their families at the breakfast. Among his current players who participated in the ceremony included, Keith AhSoon, C.J. Allen-Jones, Jameel Dowling, Inoke Funaki, Ryan Perry, Fale Laeli, Khevin Peoples, Desmond Thomas, David Veikune, Michael Washington, Guyton Galdeira, Alonzo Chopp, Dylan Linkner, and Nathan McKay.

 

In addition, former Warriors Michael Lafaele, Brad Kalilimoku, Jacob Patek, and Nathaniel Russell were among the graduates.

 

Also graduating from UH's other sports were Kaulana Gould (softball), Valana Manuma (softball), Kate Robinson (softball), Shawn Higa (soccer), Claudia Barsi (swimming), Chloe Bihag (tennis), Julia Sandborn (tennis), Ava Marie Cavaco (track), Jessica Keefe (volleyball), Nickie Thomas (volleyball), Josh Schneider (baseball), and Pamela Magasinn (sailing).
