HONOLULU – Approximately 80 University of Hawai'i football alumni attended a pre-game tailgate party coordinated by the Letterwinner's Club at last Saturday's UH-Cincinnati game at the Aloha Zone in the Aloha Stadium parking lot. Each alumnus received a commemorative t-shirt, courtesy of LWC and Na Koa, and game ticket.

 

The alumni, which included players from the 1970, '80s, '90s, and 2000s, enjoyed each other's company and reminisced about their Warrior playing days. The group was then introduced to the crowd during the pre-game festivities and joined the cheerleaders and band in welcoming the current Warriors onto the field.

 

This gathering will become an annual event at each final home game of the season. Prior to the event, each alumnus signed up for a free one-year membership to join the LWC. Any interested former Warrior alumni should contact the LWC office at uhletwin@hawaii.edu or 956-6523.
