HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team concludes its fall season by hosting a three-team exhibition tournament featuring Brigham Young and Southern California. The two-day tournament runs Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8 at Klum Gym with matches running on two courts at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Admission is free to the public.

Each team will field one squad each in two pools and will play a round-robin format. On Friday, USC and BYU opens the tournament at 10:00 a.m. followed by UH and BYU at 1:00 p.m. and UH and USC at 4:00 p.m.
All matches will be best of five sets and each set will be played to 30.
The three “A” teams automatically advance to Saturday's semifinals while the “B” team with the best record also advances. The semifinals begin at 10:00 a.m. while the “B” team non-qualifiers face off at 1:00 p.m. The bronze medal and gold medal matches begin at 4:00 p.m.
Last month, the Warriors participated in the THUNDERBALL Tournament in Canada which included Pacific, host British Columbia and a team from South Korea.
This upcoming season marks the 50th anniversary of the men's volleyball program. In celebration of the milestone, UH paid tribute to its first team at its annual alumni match Oct. 18 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Warriors finished 11-16 (8-14 MPSF) last season and missed the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation playoffs for the first time since 1993. BYU tied for the MPSF regular season title with an 18-4 league mark and 25-5 overall record but missed the NCAA Championships. USC ended the year with a 13-16 overall record and lost in the MPSF Tournament Play-In match.
