No. 6 Hawai‘i Hosts WAC Tournament After Winning 13th Regular Season Title

HONOLULU – The No. 6 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team (23-3) will host the Western Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time this week, on Nov. 20, 21 and 23, at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine won their 13th consecutive WAC regular season title, but will take the No. 2 seed in the tournament. UH tied New Mexico State for the top spot in the conference, but lost the tie-breaker due to set differential against the No. 3 seeded Idaho Vandals. Hawai'i starts tournament play with seventh-seeded Boise State at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20.
 
Television Coverage
KFVE (Channel 5) will broadcast Thursday's 7:30 p.m. match, the two semifinal matches and the championship match live on KFVE. Jim Leahey will do play-by-play for all matches, with Chris McLachlin handling color commentary. All matches of the tournament will be streamed live on http://wac.tv.

Radio Coverage
ESPN 1420 (1420 AM) will broadcast the UH matches this week, live with Scott Robbs handling the play-by-play. The matches can also be heard over the Internet on http://espn1420am.com.

Ticket Information
Single-day tickets for the tournament are $19 in the lower level and $16 in the upper level.
