SAN FRANCISCO – The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine sailing team finished second at the Bryson Women's Intersection held Oct. 4. Host Stanford captured the regatta with a low score of 39 points.
A total of 10 races in two divisions were completed in breezy conditions Saturday. The Cardinal and Rainbbow Wahine (49 points) were a distant one and two from the rest of the 10-team field with the third-place USC finishing with 86 points. Rainbow Wahine
Hannah Tuson-Turner and
Tahnee Allman captured the B division by winning three races and never finishing below fourth in any of the 10 races for a low of 20 points.
Shandy Buckley,
Pamela Magasinn and
Jaclyn McLoughlin took second in the A division and also captured three of 10 races.
The Rainbow Wahine next compete in the PCCSC Women's Fall Championships, Nov. 8-9, in San Diego.
