No. 8 Hawai`i Hosts Nevada And Utah State For Final WAC Home Matches

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team hosts its final two Western Athletic Conference regular season matches at the Stan Sheriff Center this week, facing Nevada on Friday, Oct. 31, and Utah State on Saturday, Nov. 1.
 
The Rainbow Wahine (17-3, 10-1 WAC) are coming off a good week, taking two matches over San Jose State and Fresno State, remaining in a tie for the lead in the WAC standings.
 
Television Coverage
KFVE (Channel 5) will broadcast both matches live on KFVE. Jim Leahey will do play-by-play for all matches, with Chris McLachlin handling color commentary. The broadcasts can also be purchased online at http://uhstreaming.oceanic.com.

Radio Coverage
ESPN 1420 (1420 AM) will broadcast the UH matches this week, live with Scott Robbs handling the play-by-play. The matches can also be heard over the Internet on http://espn1420am.com.

Ticket Information
Tickets for the tournament are $17 in the lower level, $12 for adults (upper), $10 for senior citizens (upper), $5 for students ages 4-18 (upper), $5 for super rooter UH students (lower) and $3 for general UH students (upper). Tickets can be purchased at Stan Sheriff Center Box Office, the UH Campus Center, Rainbowtique Ward Center, the Aloha Stadium Box Office or OCET at Windward Community College, online at hawaiiathletics.com or by phone at (808) 944-2697.

UH Green Halloween Friday Night
Keiki and their parents are invited to celebrate a safe and fun-filled “UH Green Halloween” at the Stan Sheriff Center as the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team hosts Nevada on Friday.
UH student-athletes will be located at several candy stations around the arena concourse from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and keiki will receive treats, while having the chance to get autographs and take photos with student-athletes from various UH sports.
Keiki are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. All kids are invited to join the team on the court for the pre-match ceremony (meet at Gate A at 6:50 p.m.) and prizes will be awarded for the Best Halloween Costumes, judged by the UH student-athletes.
Keiki will receive a free ticket to this match with the purchase of an adult ticket. Purchases can be made in advance or on Halloween night at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office. Tickets are in special sections and supplies are limited. Other restrictions may apply.
