The University of Hawai'i Cheerleaders leave this Wednesday for the 2005 Universal Cheerleaders Association Collegiate National Championships, held on January 16 in Orlando, FL. The Championships will be televised on ESPN in March.

The cheer squad unveiled their action-filled routine that they will perform at Nationals during half-time of the men's basketball WAC home opener against San Jose State this past Saturday.

"I have a good feeling about this team," says head coach Mike Baker. "They are young, but very talented and work very well together. The team is excited to get to Orlando and represent the University of Hawai'i and our state." Over the past 10 years, UH has finished as high as 3rd in 2001 at this prestigious national competition.
