STANFORD, Calif. – University of Hawai'i senior
TeRina Keenan placed fourth in the discus on the final day of the Stanford Invitational, Saturday at Cobb Track and Angell Field.
Keenan, a senior from Auckland, New Zealand, threw 176-6 (53.81m) to place fourth in the invitational division and eclipse her previous lifetime best set at the Western Athletic Conference Championships two years ago. The mark was the second-best among collegiate competitors in the event.
One day earlier, Keenan placed 10
th in the invitational division of the shot put with a heave of 45-9 (13.94m).
Senior
Madara Apine placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 40-3.25 (12.27m). Competing in the collegiate division was
Amanda Alvarez, who placed second with a jump of 39-10.75 (12.16m).
The Rainbow Wahine will next host the Sunset Meet #4, Saturday, April 14 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.
