Larry Sherrer played football and ran track for UH from 1969-71 after transferring from Oklahoma. Sherrer became the first player in UH football history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season and finished his career as the school’s career leader in rushing and scoring. Sherrer also graduated from UH’s John A. Burns School of Medicine in 1984.
