The most distinguished beach volleyball player in program history, Katie Spieler helped lead the Rainbow Wahine to three national championship tournament appearances including a fourth-place finish at the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships in 2016. A four-year letterwinner from 2013-16, she was the recipient of the Jack Bonham Award and was a semifinalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award in 2016. She received the NCAA’s Elite 90 Award and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America second team. A two-time All-American, she also earned Big West Pairs Team of the Year in 2016 and was a quarterfinalist at the AVCA Pairs Championship in 2014.
