Following a multi-million dollar renovation, which wiped out home matches for the 2003-04 season, the UH Tennis Complex opened in time for the start of the 2004-05 campaign. The facility also played host to the 2005 Western Athletic Conference Championships, the first time UH hosted the event on campus.
Located between the Lower Campus parking structure and the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium, the facility is a major improvement from the old home of UH tennis. The complex features 12 newly refurbished courts with windscreens, four areas for bleacher seating, and a gated entrance.
Regarded by many coaches as one of the finest tennis facilities in the West, the UH Tennis Complex allows the school to host future NCAA events as well as USTA tournaments. In 2006, the USTA bestowed the complex as the National College Facility of the Year.
Future plans for the facility include a raised grandstand with premium seating for four courts and a building to house the tennis offices and locker room.
