HONOLULU — The University of Hawai'i softball team (17-17, 9-6 Big West) hosts Cal State Bakersfield (8-30, 6-9 BW) in a three-game conference series this week. The Rainbow Wahine and Roadrunners will open the week on Friday, April 10 with a doubleheader starting at 4:00 p.m. HT with the second game starting at approximately 6:30 p.m. The series finale wll take place on Saturday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. HT. UH shutout the Matadors in the first game 30 with Hannah Pitts earning the complete game shutout, then the Rainbow Wahine pulled away in the series finale, 10- with reliever Taryn Irimata earning her second win of the series. The 'Bows outscored the Matadors 19-to-4 over three games at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. This marked the first series sweep for the Rainbow Wahine since winning three games at Cal State Bakersfield last year.
