Nine schools from the conference went head-to-head in 3-on-3 matchups, completing eight contests in a single round-robin format. The top four teams moved on to a two-round championship, where host Stanford swept the field and won the title.

After finishing second in this event last year, UH ended this year's championship with a 3-5 record, securing wins over USC, UC Santa Cruz and UC Berkeley. The 'Bows fielded four teams: Erik Anderson and Amanda Turner; Everett McAvoy and Alister Muto; Stella Taherian and Martha Schuessler; and Spencer Fleming and Leila Landay.

The Rainbow Sailors will look to bounce back when they travel to Long Beach, Calif., on April 18-19 for the PCCSC Fleet Race Championship and seek a berth into the ICSA National Championship.

The regatta was held March 28-29 at UH's home site in Ke'ehi Lagoon.

The Rainbow Sailors displayed their depth to shut out a visiting field that included teams from Arizona State, UC San Diego, and UNC Wilmington. 16 racing sets were completed throughout the weekend, with A and B divisions racing for each team.

The eight-team field was met with harsh winds on the first day that set the stage for aggressive, yet volatile racing. Many boats capsized, but 10 sets were able to be completed. Fortunately, conditions lightened up on Sunday and the last six races took place. The sun shone bright throughout the weekend.

Leading the charge was the Rainbow Green team, which claimed the overall crown with a regatta-low 148 points. The all-underclassmen squad trounced the competition, placing in the top three in 13 of their 20 races, winning two. William Bagley and Leila Landay represented the A division, while Christopher Daher skippered for Seaena Charlton and Lily Beckerman in the B division.

The Rainbows team secured the runner-up spot with 180 points, powered by an unmatched performance in the A division. The duo of Erik Anderson and Amanda Turner put on a masterclass, sweeping their first 11, and placing in the top three through 14 races. Spencer Fleming skippered for Jenna Englehart and TePua Ho in the B division, which placed second in a race.

The Rainbow Black team rounded out the podium in third place with 236 points. The squad was anchored by a steady A division performance from Everett McAvoy and Alister Muto, who placed in the top-five in 11 of their 16 races. Sam Bartlett and Olivia Merz sailed in the B division.

The Rainbow Wahine took fourth place with 243 points. The all-wahine lineup featured three different skippers in the A division, with Martha Schuessler and Stella Taherian skippering for Avery Hogue, and Elin Reigstad who split time between both positions. Elizabeth Fourney and Kahlia Bailey skippered for Peyton Lieser and Kylie Alexander in the B division.

Completing the top-five sweep was the Rainbow White team with 270 points. The team featured Arden Rathkopf and Ann Tokoyoda in the A division, and Zach Brennan and Erin Wilmore in the B division.

The weekend sweep will provide a massive boost of momentum for the 'Bows as they enter the championship season. The Rainbow Wahine will look to break through when they travel to Lake Whatcom, Wash., for the PCCSC Women's Fleet Race Championship on April 11-12. Meanwhile, the coed team will prepare for the PCCSC Team Race Championship in Redwood City, Calif., next weekend on April 4-5.

The Rainbow Sailors return after placing second in the PCCSC South Designate in San Francisco last weekend.

A total of four schools will be competing in this inaugural regatta. UH is expected to field 5 squads — competing in both the A and B divisions, with the three other schools fielding one team each.

In the wake of being ravaged by storm conditions over the last two weeks, this weekend's early forecast calls for clearer skies and brisk winds in the 14-16 knot range. UH will look to defend its home waters yet again, after winning first place in the 2026 Rainbow Invite earlier this year.

Set against the austere backdrop of Alcatraz Island, a total of 20 teams from the PCCSC competed in 20 races, split evenly between A and B divisions.

After some initial struggles that briefly dropped UH to eighth place, the 'Bows shifted into high gear to secure their second consecutive second-place finish at this event. After 14 top-three finishes and six race wins, the 70 points Hawai'i earned were enough to hold off third-place UCSB's 74 points.

UH's A division finished second out of 40 teams that participated in this event, totaling 27 points. The team of Erik Anderson, Amanda Turner, and Arden Rathkopf placed in the top two in seven of their 10 races. The freshman duo of William Bagley and Leila Landay finished third in the B division, placing in the top three in seven of their 10 races, and winning two.

Stanford easily won this regatta with an event-low 53 points.

The Rainbow Sailors will return to action next weekend, defending their home waters of Ke'ehi Lagoon for the second and last time this season. The Hawai'i Fleet Race Invite will take place on Mar. 28-29.

This three day regatta endured a delayed start on day two due to strong winds, but thankfully all 10 teams were able to finish 10 races throughout the weekend. The Rainbow Sailors put together a strong performance over the first two days of competition, winning the fourth race and moving from just one point out of second to third. However, ninth-place finishes in the eighth and 10th races left them tied for fourth to conclude the competition.

The 'Bows' 46 total points put them even with the Navy Midshipmen, and the College of Charleston's fantastic start propelled them towards the Harbor Cup title.

Led by All-Conference skipper Erik Anderson, UH's Catalina 37 fleet featured Stella Taherian, Grady Van Ness, Arden Rathkopf, Martha Schuessler, Amanda Turner, Peyton Lieser, Everett McAvoy, and Zach Brennan.

The Rainbow Sailors will take a few weeks off before returning to competition on Mar. 21-22, moving up a level in the Golden State for the PCCSC South Series in San Francisco.

After fighting through rough conditions on Saturday, the fields of both regatta were able to complete their competitions thanks to consistent winds on Sunday.

The Rainbow Wahine raced in the Bryson Women's Fleet Race, sailing in 28 total races split evenly between A and B divisions. Though inconsistent, the Wahine found great success in some of their races, winning one race and finishing in the top three in eight of their 28 races. Martha Schuessler and Ann Tokoyoda raced in the A division. Stella Taherian skippered all races for Elin Reigstad and Leila Landay who split time at crew. Hawai'i ended the event in third place with 188 points. Stanford easily took the regatta with 76 points, 98 points ahead of the nearest competition. This event marked the third and last trip to Redwood City for the Wahine in the season.

The coed team raced in the Top-9 Spring Invite, also sailing in 28 total races split evenly between A and B divisions. After stumbling out of the gates and seeing time in last place through the first day of competition, the 'Bows caught wind in their sails from the sixth race and on. The Rainbow Sailors had 12 top-six finishes in their final 18 races, giving them 242 total points and powered forward to a fourth-place finish. Erik Anderson and Amanda Turner raced in the A division. Everett McAvoy and William Bagley split time at skipper in the B division, with Alister Muto at crew. Stanford won this event with a regatta-low 114 points.

The Rainbow Wahine will be back in action next weekend when they travel across the country to St. Petersburg, Fla. for the South Florida Team Race, looking to improve on their fifth-place finish last year. The coed team will take a few weeks off of competition to prepare for the Port of LA Harbor Cup, an event the 'Bows placed second in last year. The event will be held on Mar. 6-8 in Los Angeles.

The Rainbow Wahine fielded one squad in the women's regatta against six other schools from across California. After winning this event for the past four years, they fell just short of extending the win streak to five. They completed 18 races, split evenly between A and B divisions. Kahlia Bailey and Kylie Alexander sailed in the A division, and Elin Reigstad and Jenna Englehart sailed in the B division. The Rainbows won three races, placing in the top two in eight of them, giving them a grand total of 49 points. UC Santa Barbara comfortably secured the event with 27 points.

The Wahine also fielded a team in the open regatta, competing against a field of 38 total teams. Also racing in 18 races, their 185 points helped them place in the top third of the competition, at 10th. Stella Taherian and Peyton Lieser sailed in the A division, and Martha Schuessler, Avery Hogue, and Ann Tokoyoda sailed in the B division. USC won the event with a regatta-low 70 points.

The annual Rainbow Invite was held this weekend, Jan. 17-18, in UH's home waters of Ke'ehi Lagoon.

160 sailors from 14 different schools across the country and Canada kicked off their spring seasons in amazing conditions for sailing. They were met with wind speeds exceeding 20 knots that set the stage for high-speed racing. The weather did not carry over to the second day, however, as rain clouds loomed and vacuumed out most of the wind. In a regatta initially scheduled for 24 races to take place, the standstill conditions cut the total down to 22, 11 each in the A and B divisions.

UH's Rainbows team steamrolled the field, distancing themselves from the runners-up by 60 points. The Rainbows' regatta-low 43 points was primarily powered by a strong weekend from the senior-freshman duo in the B division, Everett McAvoy and Alister Muto, with Seaena Charlton serving as crew for two races. The group placed first in eight of the 11 races, placing second in the remaining three and totaling 14 points. Trailing behind them was Erik Anderson and Amanda Turner in the A division, winning three races and placing in the top three in seven. This duo scored 29 points.

The Rainbow Wahine team placed second in the competition, also propelled by a strong performance in its B division. The 103-point team had 32 scored from the trio of Stella Taherian, Peyton Lieser, and Elin Reigstad. This three-headed lineup placed in the top three in eight of their 11 races, winning two. The B division's first and second place finishes in their last two races pushed them into second place. In the A division, Martha Schuessler raced the entire weekend at skipper, with Avery Hogue and Jenna Englehart splitting time at crew.

The Rainbow Green team placed fourth, right behind UC Santa Barbara who rounded out the podium. William Bagley split time with Amanda Wheeler in the A division, and Leila Landay, Lily Beckerman, and Gabi Furnans competing at crew. Arden Rathkopf and Ann Tokoyoda raced all 11 races in the B division.

Completing the top-five was the Rainbow White team, which featured Kahlia Bailey, Grady Van Ness, Gabriella Delgado, Kylie Alexander, Quinn Gladstone-Lamas, and Nova Hazen in the A division. Spencer Fleming, Zach Brennan, Erin Wilmore, and Olivia Merz all sailed in the B division.

The 'Bows' coed team will aim to continue their momentum when they sail in the PCCSC Top Nine Open in Redwood City, Calif. on Feb. 14-15. The Rainbow Wahine will be back on the water next weekend when they look to keep their winning streak alive at the Jeff Simon's Women's Regatta in San Diego, Calif. on Jan. 24-25.

After capturing the Rainbow Invite last year and placing all four teams in the top seven, the 'Bows look to continue their streak of dominance and pick up their 10th victory in a row at this event. This weekend's early forecast calls for sunny skies and pacey winds in the 10-14 knot range, conditions that should provide a full slate of races throughout the regatta.

UH will defend its home waters this year by fielding two teams on both the coed and women's side against a field of teams from all across the country. Completing the 18-team field are British Columbia and Victoria of Canada.

Ke'ehi Lagoon will be the site of another home regatta in late March, when the Hawai'i coed sailing team hosts the Hawai'i Fleet Race Invite. The Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite will be the lone home regatta for the Wahine.

Competing in this event for the first time since they placed 12th in 2023, the 'Bows managed to improve on their previous standing and finish in the top third of the 24-team field they faced. A total of 12 races took place over the weekend, split evenly between A and B divisions. After spending a majority of the competition in a mid-table position, three top-five finishes in their last four races powered them up to 106 points, just three points ahead of ninth place.

Erik Anderson and Amanda Turner's 55 points in the A division included four top-ten finishes along with a fourth-place finish to close out competition. Everett McAvoy and Stella Taherian raced in the B division, narrowly edging out the A division's placement with 51 points. The duo hit their stride in their last two races where they finished in second and fourth to end the weekend. Brown University captured the regatta with an event-low 42 points.

The coed and women's team will be competing next at home when they host the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite on Jan 17-18 at Ke'ehi Lagoon.
