2009 (Senior): Started all 13 games at “MAC” or “STUB” linebacker...tallied 85 tackles (61 solo, 24 assisted)…led the team in solo tackles…team-high nines tackles for losses totaling 26 yards which ranked 10th in the WAC…also had two pass break-ups, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovered…one sack each against Fresno State (Oct. 10) and Navy (Nov. 28)…team-high 12 tackles at UNLV (Sept. 19)…recorded 10 tackles each against Central Arkansas (Sept. 4) and Navy (Nov. 28).

2008 (Junior): Played in 13 games with four starts at linebacker...also saw time on special teams...recorded 22 tackles (14 solo), two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two quarterback hurries...earned first career start at STUB on the road at nationally ranked Fresno State (Oct. 4)...recorded career-best five tackles and recovered a fumble in upset win over Bulldogs...started three consecutive games at BUCK against nationally ranked Boise State (Oct. 17), Nevada (Oct. 25) and Utah State (Nov. 1)...had four tackles and one forced fumble at Boise State.

2007 (Sophomore): Played in all 13 games, primarily on special teams...totaled five tackles, including four solo...also had a pass break-up vs. Northern Colorado (Sept. 1).

2006 (Freshman): Played in the final five games of the season off the bench...totaled four tackles (3 solo).

2005: Redshirted

Prep: A 2005 graduate of ‘Aiea High School on O‘ahu...a first-team all-league selection as a senior...a second-team all-state pick as a senior...led team to the Hawai‘i High School Division II Championship in football...coached by Wendell Say...also lettered two years in basketball...carried a 3.4 cumulative GPA and was a member of the honor roll all four years...member of the ‘Aiea High Athletic Club.

Personal: Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu...majoring in Hawaiian studies...has three brothers and one sister...parents are Aileen Kiesel and Richard Kauhane of ‘Aiea, O‘ahu.
