2008 (Sophomore): Played in 93 games in 25 matches...led UH in block solos (12), total blocks (132) and blocks per game (1.51)...blocking average was the fifth best during the rally scoring era in school history...fifth on the team in kills with 107 while hitting for a .326 percentage...ranked second nationally and third in the MPSF with a 1.51 blocks per game average...slammed down a career-high nine kills on the road against Stanford (Feb. 27)...recorded a career-high 12 blocks versus UC San Diego (Jan. 25) in which he also buried nine kills on 14 attempts for a 64.3 percentage. had nine matches of over .400 hitting percentage, including 10 contests in which he didn’t record a hitting error.

2007 (Freshman): Played 13 games in nine matches, started one...averaged 1.15 kills per game...posted a season-high seven kills against Brigham Young (Feb. 24).

2006: Redshirted.

Prep: A 2005 graduate of Los Alamitos High School in California...earned three letters in volleyball...garnered all-Sunset League and all-CIF honors...selected to the All-tournament team at the USA Junior Olympics under coach Derek Lucero.

Personal: Born in Newport Beach, Calif...majoring in communications...has one brother, Jeff...parents are Nancy and Victor Grgas of Seal Beach, Calif.
