2009 (Senior): Appeared in 23 games with 15 starts at catcher...hit .220 (9-for-41) at the plate with a double and a career-high eight RBI...at Fresno State (4/4) drove in a career game-high two runs on a single during the 16-inning marathon win over the Bulldogs, then came back in the following game to drive in what proved to be the winning run with an RBI single to capture UH's first-ever series at Fresno State...went 2-for-3 with two RBI and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to defeat Utah State (4/11)  4-3...had three multiple-RBI games...earned UH Scholar-Athlete honors.

2008 (Junior): Saw action in one game as catcher…made an appearance in an exhibition game against USA (Feb. 24)…named a 2008 UH Scholar-Athlete.

2007 (Sophomore): Started 10 games and appeared in 14 games all as a catcher...had a .000 batting average...tallied four walks though on the year...called and caught Justine Smethurst's no-hitter at Utah State on Apr. 28.

2006 (Freshman): Appeared in 2 games at third base and catcher...recorded a hit, a run and an RBI in her second at-bat of the year at Grambling State (Mar. 27).

Prep: A 2005 graduate of Castle High School...lettered three years in softball, four years in tennis, and two years in soft tennis...was a scholar athlete and earned Presidential Excellence honors all four years.

Personal: Born in Honolulu...majoring in civil and environmental engineering and will graduate in Spring 2010...favorites include Mexican food, the movie "White Chicks;" the color purple, and Chipper Jones...has an older brother...parents are Gavin and Janice Yamada of Kaneohe.
