Three ’Bows Among MW Scholar-Athlete Award Recipients

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three University of Hawai'i football student-athletes were among a league-record 730 recipients of the Mountain West's 2014-15 Scholar-Athlete Award.

Offensive lineman Ben Clarke (Sr., Littleton, Colo.) and tight end Harold Moleni (Sr., West Valley City, Utah) earned the academic honors for the third consecutive year, while defensive end Luke Shawley (Sr., Charlotte, N.C.) joins the pair in receiving the award for the first time.

The MW Scholar-Athlete Award is one of the highest academic honors bestowed by the Mountain West Conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in a Mountain West-sponsored sport.
