University of Hawai'i punt returner Scott Harding was named to a pair of Freshman All-America teams following the 2011 season. The Brisbane, Australia native was selected to the Football Writers Association of American All-America first team and to Yahoo! Sports All-America second team.

The 25-year-old true freshman fielded 19 punts for 141 yards, an average of 7.4 yards per return. He had a long of 24 yards against Utah State. In addition, Harding averaged 22.0 yards on 11 kickoff returns and had a long of 37 also against USU. The back-up slot receiver saw action in one game on offense, recording six catches for 67 yards in a win over UC Davis.

Harding is the program's first Freshman All-American since receivers Davone Bess and Ryan Grice-Mullen and linebacker Solomon Elimimian were recognized following the 2005 season.

Prior to UH, Harding had never played American football. However, he was a veteran of the Australian Football League, having played five seasons with the Brisbane Lions and one with Port Adelaide Power.
