HONOLULU – The University of Hawai‘i women’s volleyball match against Louisiana Tech scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Stan Sheriff Center has been postponed. Severe weather in northern Louisiana and east Texas, caused Louisiana Tech to miss its scheduled flight and subsequent alternate routes to Honolulu.

The match has been postponed until Monday, Oct. 19, at 7:05 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.

UH’s next scheduled match is Saturday, Oct. 17 against New Mexico State. First serve is 7:05 p.m. Head coach Dave Shoji needs one more victory for 1,000 career wins.

“This is an unfortunate circumstance but due to severe weather in that region, it’s impossible for Louisiana Tech to fly out and get here in time for tomorrow’s match,” Athletics Director Jim Donovan said. “With the help of Marilyn Moniz-Kaho‘ohanohano, LaTech and WAC officials, we were able to come up with an alternate plan. We encourage our fans to come out on Saturday to see an exciting match between the top two teams in the WAC and to see if Dave can pick up his 1,000th win.”

Season ticket holders may use their Louisiana Tech game ticket for Monday’s rescheduled match (use Event #16 ticket).

Individual game ticket purchasers for the Louisiana Tech match, may:
1.      Use their ticket for Monday’s rescheduled match;
