HONOLULU - The No. 12 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team opens its 2008 season hosting the 21st Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Classic. UH opens the classic with a bang, hosting the defending national champion and top-ranked Penn State on Friday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. Also in the classic are No. 6 UCLA and Ohio, who will play the first match of the classic at 5 p.m.

Radio Coverage
ESPN Radio (1420 AM) will broadcast the UH matches this week, live with Scott Robbs handling the play-by-play. The matches can also be heard over the Internet on www.sportsradio1420.com.
Television Coverage
KFVE (Channel 5) will broadcast all matches in the classic, although the final day of the classic will only be shown live on pay-per-view. Jim Leahey will do play-by-play for all matches, with Chris McLachlin and Lisa Strand-Ma'a handling color commentary.

Ticket Information
Tickets for the tournament are $17 in the lower level, $12 for adults (upper), $10 for senior citizens (upper), $5 for students ages 4-18 (upper), $5 for super rooter UH students (lower) and $3 for general UH students (upper).
